We are testing a new design for Hydroponic.

We want feedback and even the the site it’s not finnished and the design it’s not finnished and tons of details and content it’s already missing we just published the site.

We love reactions and this project it’s going to be a no ending project for us, and we want the user to interact with the platform so it’s easy to think about sharing even design decisions with everybody even when we know that there are a lot fo things to fix.

And this evening I just realised when both sides are going to connect, and I’m going for it.

Es diseñadora de moda, actualmente trabajando en Valentino y nuestro próximo proyecto es construir su nueva página web, para dar a conocer su trayectoria profesional, su trabajo y lo que se le pase por la cabeza en un pequeño blog dedicado a la moda… o a confeccionar ropa en plan “Do it Yourself”… o a técnicas de bordado… nosé aún con que nos sorprenderá ;)

Con ella comparto el estar disfrutando profesionalmente con lo que trabajamos, con espacio para la creatividad y, en su caso, mucho talento.

The first one has been with Hydroponic, and after the experience we are totally delighted with the switch, and from now we will use the elasticity and power of Code Igniter and Expression Engine for almost every project.

At Gimmicklab we master custom PHP and MySQL, but we also like to take advantages using frameworks for custom development. After playing and building multiple sites using different platforms such as Cake, Wordpress, Expression Engine, Code Igniter, Ruby on rails, Joomla, Magento or Oscommerce here are our choices for web development.

Frameworks

CMS

• Expression Engine
• Wordpress

The reason? Code Igniter is the most versatile PHP framework with a large community, and we love community support and Expression Engine is professional CMS solution with a brilliant graphic interface, and both combined are very powerful.

Wordpress is still a great option for some projects, we master it and we like it a lot because of their flexibility and easy understanding by the clients.

And Ruby… we want to explore Ruby on rails deeper because it looks so powerful.

Coming this month, we are working hard on it.

Aplicando matemáticas para definir la estructura del HTML consigues escribir 50 lineas de código en 1, es una idea ganadora que ha cambiado la forma de escribir el código base de mis proyectos.

Se trata de un snippet para Textmate, también disponbible para Aptana, que incrementa de forma sorprendente la velocidad a la que escribes lí­neas de código..

Mejor con algunos ejemplos:

Pulsando CMD+E, generará el siguiente código HTML:

<ul id="navigation" class="main">
	<li><a href=""></a></li>
	<li><a href=""></a></li>
	<li><a href=""></a></li>
	<li><a href=""></a></li>
	<li><a href=""></a></li>
</ul>

Y usando el tabulador podemos empezar a rellenar el contenido del atributo href y el texto del enlace.

Podemos concatenar la id o la clase del elemento, incluso las dos, podemos usar multiplicadores, sumatorios o incluso introducir algunas variables.

Devolverá:

Y usando el tabulador nos desplazamos y vamos rellenado los atributos necesarios, genial.

A partir de aquí­ las posibilidades son enormes, puedes llegar a escribir en una línea el HTML de toda la página.

Pasemos a examinar la aplicación a CSS.

El bundle de CSS nos permite asignar la propiedad y su valor directamente, a diferencia de algunos snippets, que asignan cada propiedad a una combinación de teclado, lo que supone un cambio signicativo y una reducción de tiempo que utilizas para escribir espectacular. Aunque se echa en falta la posibilidad de crear directamente selectores, propiedades y atributos.

Con el tabulador nos podremos posicionar en los diferentes atributos: color, url, posición y modo.
